Transitioning is expensive. Some basic medical needs are covered by provincial health care, and my prescriptions are mostly covered by my extended health plan at work. But there are many other expenses along the way that mean it’s going to take years to save up for two out of three of the surgeries I want. (One is potentially covered.)

I’ve created a Ko-fi site where you can help me save up for the gender-affirming care I need.

However, I have to point out that I can meet my basic needs, like food and housing. I live fairly comfortably, even if my expenses prevent me from saving anything. If you’re deciding between donating to me and donating to someone who needs help to meet their basic needs, donate to them first.
